The Problem

Meaningful internship experiences can shape one's identity, future career, and unique personal brand.

At a critical juncture in their lives, high school students can begin to develop a vision and direction for their future with the mentorship of a seasoned professional. Hands-on career exploration opportunities like internships can make all the difference in the lifelong process of career development.

However, most students simply do not have the resources to secure an internship. The few who are interns get their opportunities through personal connections or for-profit companies. As a nonprofit, PTL aims to meet this need and create a world where all high school students can have an internship.

The Solution

Project Talent Launch (PTL) was born to disrupt the rules of who gets an internship opportunity. We envision a world where all high school students have access to a paid, guided internship.

Over the past summer, we have awarded nearly $10,000 in scholarships, partnered with eight businesses and community organizations, and created nine internship opportunities for students from Temple City High School, Marshall Fundamental, and Arcadia High School.

Our goal is to serve 100 PTL Scholars by this summer. We need your support to make sure our opportunities are available to all high school students!
